Blessings Bredren and Sistren!
While we were in Kingston, we went to Harry Josef and had these delicious shakes quite a few times, but I don't remember all of the ingrediants...
I know there were oats, peanuts, irish moss, and vanilla....but there was more than that in the shake...
Does anyone know of anything similar that they drink, and if so, could you send me a message or post the ingrediants here?
We are craving this shake...it was so delicious and creamy and filling....
Any help would be much appreciated, seen?
Jah bless, guide, and protect..
Nuff Respect!

Improve your health with coffee

Greetings friends and family. I hope you all are well and happy. I am writing you today because I have opened my own healthy coffee business and I want YOU to be among the first of my preferred customers. I have launched my new business with three flavors, black, latte, and mocha. This is not your ordinary coffee. It contains the natural herb ganoderma. Ganoderma is a spore (mushroom) that has been used in Asia for centuries for it's healing properties. Where regular coffee dehydrates, is very acidic and toxic, raises blood pressure, raises stress levels in the body via the hormone cortisol, and gives you jitters and caffeine crash, my new coffee balances Ph levels, provides natural detoxification, increases the immune system, provides energy, and you don't get jitters or caffeine crash all because of the ganoderma. Don't take my word, google ganoderma and see nothing but positive results pop up. I have provided a few links below.

And yes, it tastes great, like the coffee you are used to. Your next question is probably what is the cost? Well, you can get a box of 30 packets of the black or latte or a box of 15 packets of the mocha for $30. $1 for a cup of coffee that is good to you and good for you! If you like it, I can tell you how to get it for the wholesale price of $15. If you don't like it, I will never ask you to by my coffee again. Does that sound fair? I am also in a contest to win an all expense paid trip to China and your purchase would not only help me win, but it will help me launch my business successfully.

Please feel free to message or call me to let me know how many boxes you would like. Thank you for your support, and keep in touch whether you buy from me or not.

InI was simply wondering what all of my Brethren and Sistren think of how tattooing and Rasta go together....InI know in the Bible, it is said that you should not mar the Temple of the body. InI is torn about this....there are many tattoos on my body and I feel that it is still a holy temple for Jah the Most High....InI's teacher says that my body still is a temple, tattoos or no as long as the Rasta life and beliefs is followed with the heart.....
Peace, Respect and Jah blessings to all....

Listing the term "Pastafarian" which claims to represent a parody religion amoung a list of otherwise genuine religions in everyones profiles on tribe.net is racial and religious discrimination and hate speech. The term "Pastafarian" is a tongue in cheek "pun" that perpetuates the bigoted discrimination and marginalization of Rastafarian people who are members of the serious Rastafarian religion by altering the name of the Rastafarians and the Rastafarian religion in a diminutive manner. Using a mockery of Rastafarian's in the context Tribe does contributes significant momentum to the serious and harmful idea that Rastafarianism is a false religion (not that it is a religion that is not true, But that it is not a religion at all) Which is a factor in the ongoing persecution of Rastafarians. Something augmented by the fact that Rastafarianism is not listed even though a number of Tribe users are Rastafarians. This can be seen as racist because the common current of racial oppression endured by the people of the racial background of most Rastafarians is can be logically infered to be a contributing factor in the lack of consideration implicit in Tribe giving platform to a mockery of the religion as it did. In other words, Buddhists for example would not have been disrespected and discriminated in the way Rastafarians were because most Buddhist are Asian as opposed to the Rastafarians who are mostly African. Even without elements of racism, The terms listing in tribe profiles is an example of religious discrimination and poor taste. The term should be removed immediately, and Tribe.net should apologize to its users for the mistake.

Why people who claim to be Rasta's have tolerated it and allowed me to be further belittled in my effort to protect the intergirty of I and I, I will never overstand.

I live in the NYC area. Does anyone know of an Ethiopian clothing shop that I can buy skirts or dresser from? Or maybe a Rastafarian clothing shop I can find it at? Not to expensive but reasonable prices. Or maybe a website they know that they can pass on to me.

Just days before embarking on his 16-city 'Farewell Tour Across Canada' (and a few short weeks before entering prision for a 10-year stay), Marc was nice enough to sit down and take Time 4 Hemp.

Greetings Bredren and Sistren..
I am writing today to ask all of you to say a small prayer for me when you talk to Jah in your daily worship...I recently had surgery on my foot, and am using the time I have off of work to go off of my pain medicine..I have been on prescription meds for pain for the last 2 and a half years...I have numerous problems with my back and fibromyalgia. I decided about 6 months ago that the medicine, while keeping me out of pain, is not doing anything good for my body nor my spirit. It is not going to be an easy task, and I pray to Jah every day to help and guide me down the path to healing. I hope that it could be a small thing to ask you all to include me and ask the Most High to give me strength and guideance in my time of need...
Jah bless guide and protect all of you!
Many blessings and much Raspect!

Eight hundred thousand people were arrested in 2006 on marijuana related charges. Today, every 41 seconds someone in America is arrested on a marijuana related charge.

On September 15, 2007 - Keith Stroup (founder of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws - NORML) was one of those arrested.

This was the second time for Keith to be arrested on a marijuana charge. He recalled getting busted with a joint on him while crossing into Canada during the 1970s in an exclusive interview with Casper Leitch when he sat down and took 'Time 4 Hemp'. Download it for free at http://www.Time4Hemp.com

A friend of mine is in need of a model for the Juneteenth festival in June. She will dread your hair for free in exchange. Her name is Lee and she has been dreading hair professionally for the last four years. Check out her website or just give her a call if interested. Would prefer African hair due to the occasion.

How Long? How Long will I be downpressed while to world stands by in apathy? Tribe.net listing pastafarian as a religion is a direct insult of RasTafarI and a detraction of the Rastafarian Movement and religion. BABYLON (see tribe.net and most of the people who use it) have wasted my time pretending not to understand when I say that to list a parody of a rastafarian religion as being real is tantamount to official support of the oppresion of rastafari people. This is exactly the tactic of the enemy. Look how much reason and truth I have given to people here regarding this issue and they still pretend like I'm a fool. Its becasue they are caught up in a mob mentality like high schoolers. Unable to think outside of the box. Mired in blase national socialistic thought patterens of racism. They use their numbers to delay the inevitable. And whats up with NO ONE supporting me? Why should RasTafari use a white supremacist website that mocks him? Why should he even let such a thing exist, escpecially when it profits from his culture? Even if its just a joke, which is questionable to say the least, It is wrong, and instead of thanking me for pointing it out, and changing it, Ive been ridiculed and alienated, which is just a continuation of the persectution of me and my religion, and a good reason to sight that this is not all just a joke. Rasta people need to look at the FSM church as a whole and see how they are exploiting us, by MARKETING thier "pastafarian religion". And such people will continue to do this and worse as long as the rest of you accept it and remian silent. Why is it accepted? Why? I really want to know? Having a pastafarian relgion listed as an option when someone goes to fill out that part of thier profile MAKES THIS WHOLE WEBSITE in support of ridicule, and closemindedness, not free speeach and thinking, becasue it is not a real relgion but an insulting mockery of a genuine Rastafarian faith, Which therby belittles the integrity of the RasTafari movement.

All of us are travelers lost,
our tickets arranged at a cost
unknown but beyond our means.
This odd itinerary of scenes
--enigmatic, strange, unreal--
leaves us unsure how to feel.
No postmortem journey is rife
with more mystery than life.

Tremulous skeins of destiny
flutter so ethereally
around me--but then I feel
its embrace is that of steel.

On the road that I have taken,
one day, walking, I awaken,
amazed to see where I have come,
where I'm going, where I'm from.

This is not the path I thought.
This is not the place I sought.
This is not the dream I bought,
just a fever of fate I've caught.

I'll change highways in a while,
at the crossroads, one more mile.
My path is lit by my own fire.
I'm going only where I desire.

On the road that I have taken,
one day, walking, I awaken.
One day, walking, I awaken,
on the road that I have taken.

it occurs to me that most of us,if not all of us have lost sight of the goal...that is to say, mabey we have lost touch with ourselvses, collectively i think we are pretty empty as far as it goes. You ever wonder why we are here? is it to have nice shiny cars and things that make other people like us? or to get a good job and buy as many things that will make our lives easier and less trouble free? Now dont get me wrong i enjoy simplicity, it,in fact is the key. If a man is to be free isnt it true that he must first not be bound, and second understand the diferance between the two. so in saying that lets break this down real quick....if someone is living there life tied to every possesion they own, and spending most of there time trying to boast, and defend there things as though they are the most important things in the entire world...it seems every where i look thats all we do is argue about our things....or the things we think should be ours....or that feeling you get when you are left out of something......called jealousy...fuck i am so sick of people trying to be better than each other....saying they are a friend and then the second you leave they talk shit about you, What is wrong with us?where has the bond we as humans should share. Goddamn just human should be enouph, but we instead have this very akward social structure that was put in place by very uptight, greedy, self concious individuals, who ,for lack of a better scenario(i.e one that sometimes requires THEM to go home empty handed) went and changed the order of things by disguising manipulation and greed with truth and compassion....lets face it the average person in this world doesnt care if you live or die, all, most care about is YOUR impact on THIER stuff, If your efforts are in thier favor....then your a friend indeed, However if you fall short and things do not work to thier benefit....then the excuses come(a road we all take every day)if people would stop making excuses and start...oh lets say, owning up to thier own shortcummings. dont you think we argue a lot less.if we didnt rely on other people every chance we get ,and start with some love people....how will we ever be happy if we are too worried about what every one thinks of us...I say FUCK IT nocar or house or any toy or luxory...is equel to the love i have ,and if you think for a second any of these things will make you as happy as the pure goodness another human can inflict..then you too are lost, standing in the darkness ofyour own greed and self pitty, instead of the pure bliss of the light that shines in mankind...I know its out there..... being denied simplicity, shelters us from ever even seeing the goodness that our life has to offer, sad really considering the possabilitys,we are but one race. the human race, caught up in the rat race........i say vanity is destruction of the soul.. so much love people and jah bless........lance

Greetings in the Name of the Most High JAH Rastafari

In Iliberation of the opening of the gates of I and I tabernacle on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, I and I Rastafari Sons and Daughters of the Most High are organizing a week of Iliberation for the Earth Strong of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, beginning on 22 July and ending 29 July.

I and I shall prepare 100% Ital vegan cuisine for all Bredren and Sistren who choose to forward for the Ivent as well as provide locations for camping.
As well as chanting Nyahbinghi there will be a focus on outdoor education and activities. I and I will share knowledge about native medicinal and edible plants of the area and about North Western Native culture (specifically the coastal Saalish people). There will be enough time for hiking, rock climbing, kayaking and swimming as well!

Specific events are still being visualized and organized, any help from outside is highly appreciated. Donations (preferably non-monetary) will be recieved with humble gratitude as will attendance.

Please contact I man for further details on attending and/or donating. I and I must have an idea of the numbers attending so accomodations can be properly made.

I am attempting to unite all of us online, but in a more organized and effective way. We can discuss things in general here and meet others from across the globe, but what about meeting with local Rastas? I have a tribe for Rastas in&near philadelphia. We will hold meetings (just to vibe and relate) and be a support system for locals who find it hard to locate I&I within their community.

Link up

I can also monitor a group for Richmond, VA since I am in the city a lot.

I'm looking for a friend or friends in Los Angeles to go to reggae clubs and concerts with. I would prefer real rasta friends, or at least people who have raspect for the culture. By real, I mean a rastafarian who knows Selassie I is God. I'd rather you not claim to be rasta but love my culture, herbs, and my locks, than to misrepresent. Males and females welcome.

Whats your favorite reggae artist of all time and why?

I like Bob and think that he is the very best their was during his time. There are many other artists who were hot and just as political, however Bob was able to get ahead of them because he new what the people wanted and how to go about giving it to them. Artist such as Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Jacob Miller, were just as charismatic, but never got the publicity that Bob Marley did.

Reggae is a profound music and every once in a while a artist will come along that will set himself apart from the rest like bob did. One such artist that is not mention about much is Garnett Silk. How many of you every really sat down and listen and try to comprehend what this artist was about? His voice was like no other. His lyrics was political, spiritual, and higly motivational. Garnett Silk is my all time favorite Artist...
Check him out........

The Meaning Fields : Blue Black Blues

During the last hundred years, and under many disguises - rag, jazz, rock, funk, soul, pop, reggae, disco, dance, rap, trance, techno, house or hip-hop - black music and dance has ruled over charts and discotheques.
Absorbed by every culture, it has made a world music possible. Church, Turkish, American Indian or Classical music have been translated or grafted onto rock, house or trance.
Black rhythms are now the universal currency of music.
Poor cotton picker

Present-day black music was first produced by American Negro slaves, about two hundred years ago.

Since then, their music has spread throughout the world, with hundreds of millions of Europeans, Americans and Asians dancing like Africans to the rhythms of black music.

There had already been a time when all of mankind only knew black rhythms. For the hundreds of thousands of years that all of mankind lived in Africa . Music and dancing had been simple. Thumping the earth with hands and feet, hitting stones together and marking rhythm with a stick of wood. Music began as drumming .

Writing with letters was invented by the Semites. Printing, computers and, soon, artificial intelligence, were invented by Europeans.
After they had invented thinking, walking and speaking, Africans proceeded to invent singing, music and dancing.

Heartbreakers

Through technology and an increased collective consciousness, the world is fast becoming a single village, and mankind a single tribe.

The last time we were a single tribe was in Africa.
The spread of black music as mankind unites in only too natural.
Its rhythms are the only music united mankind knows .

We, humans, need that music.
When we were embryos, the only music we heard was the African beat of the heart of our mother.
And we were an embryonic mankind, we also heard, for hundreds of thousands of years, the beat of African drums.

With black rythms spreading all over the world, all of mankind is hearing the drumming of the heart beat again.
The entire world is becoming Africa. We are back to the womb .
Another delivery is due.

Free Music

Nobody really knows where the word Blues comes from.
It bears the color of melancholy.
Blues refers to the color blue, and, in colloquial language, to feel blue is to be sad. Those who first played the blues were slaves, expected to feel blue..
Blacks had arrived naked to the New World. They were as black as the nightmare they had to go through. Their masters had wiped their family, their clothing, their language, their food, their religion and their skills. Treated as objects, they were worked to death.
Only their melodies survived. And it, no doubt, expressed their pain and alienation .

The presence of the color blue in this context is curious. In what sense is blues a blue music? Wouldn’t black be a more appropriate color for sadness and melancholy ?
Blue is sadness tinged with hope. The sadness of someone who misses someone else and cannot wait to meet again.
Black is the sadness of mourning, of permanent loss .
The Negroes sang the blues. They missed everything they had left and hoped for better days.

Color blind

Colors are not objective perceptions.
A bee does not see flowers with our colors. Even humans are not too sure about the color of certain things. A large number of humans suffer from some degree of color blindness, confusing, for instance, red and green.
Language is also color-blind. In North African Arabic, KHL is black. In Hebrew, this same root means blue.
With the same word, one understands black and the other blue. They must have looked at something confusing, simultaneously black and blue.

This confusion exists also between white, black and blue.
The French blanc (white, but the n is not pronounced) is written like the English black but pronounced like blue.
Arabic, Hebrew, English or French park blue, white and black under the same sounds.

An obvious everyday experience induces this confusion of color : the alternation between day and night .
At dawn and at dusk, all shades of blue turn into all shades of black and white. There are hours, before sunrise and after sunset, when it is impossible to say whether the sky is blue or black. Clouds, when they are present, add white to the confusion.

Cotton again

Blues was invented by people who were as black as the night. Music was day time in their darkness.

The black slaves who endured the worst aspect of slavery were field workers, the famed cotton pickers of so many pieces of blues. Under the blue sky, with clouds that looked like the cotton they picked, they worked from sunset to sunrise, experiencing with their own tired bodies the blue black alternation of dawn and dusk.
Day time blue or white were bad news and hard work. They invented their own blue : songs from Africa which they sang as they picked cotton or sugar cane.
Singing made slaves more effective. Masters were happy.

The invention of blues by black slaves reflects a tragic experience of day-time blue.

Music slaves

In the morning, blue follows black. We rise from bed, full of hopes.
At night, black follows blue. We go to bed in fear.

When the blacks collectively invented the blues, at the end of the 19th century, it was the beginning of a new dawn for mankind. The black music we now hear everywhere is as blue as the dawn it announces.

A century ago, Negro slavery was abolished. Since then, blueness has spread and amplified, with many more slaves being freed : wives from their husbands, children from their parents, pupils from their teachers.

Tell old Pharaoh

The blueness and dawn I have just described began in fact a long time ago. Mankind is going through a dawn that began a million year ago in Africa. And the blue of that dawn is reinforced, every time a slavery is abolished .

Negroes were not the first collectively uprooted and enslaved people. In recorded history, they were preceded by the Hebrews.
Four hundred years, the sons of Jacob had been slaves in Ancient Egypt . They were the first to successfully escape collective slavery.

They had gone down to Egypt as a ball of seventy souls. Just like a fertilized egg, they had come searching for a nest in the African womb.
They came as seventy cells and left as a newborn people.

Four hundred years, too, the Negroes were enslaved in a modern Egypt called America .

Hebrews and Negroes had a common experience.
They were both enslaved in a delta. The delta of Mississipi and the delta of the Nile. Two placentas for two people in full growth.

Music was their common comfort. Drums and banjos for the black. Drums and tambourines for the Hebrews.

At the time the Hebrews were in Egypt, Memphis and then Taniss were the royal capitals .
For Negroes, Memphis, Tennessee was the capital from which blues spread to the world.
The spread of black music all over the world marks the Exodus of a people, the Negroes.

Bob Marley’s Exodus

MaRLeY means in hebrew “I am Bitter”.No surprise then for his band to be the Wailers.Bitterness is strongly associated with the Exodus.During the jewish traditionnal celebration of the Exodus, Passover, whoever hasn’t said “ bitter ” hasn’t celebrated properly.

Exodus is a reggae album released by Bob Marley and the Wailers. It was and still is a huge international hit. In 1998, Time magazine named Exodus the best music album of the 20th century.
The Rastafarian way of life started in Jamaica around the turn of the 20th century with a strong emphasis on an “Africanized” Old Testament. The Rastafarians identify themselves with the ancient Israelites and their story of oppression, Diaspora, and redemption

Bob Marley was the world’s most renown Rastafarian, made popular through reggae music; a legendary singer/songwriter, with his group the Wailers he was the first man from a third world country to penetrate international markets; he was and still is incredibly influential in the political and spiritual struggles of his time and continues to be associated with the fight for freedom in many countries

Four centuries of slavery is a genetic duration.
The Bible mentions it for the Hebrews, an obviously incorrect historical fact .
This duration became historic several times: American blacks, Eastern Slavs and Western whites.

Eastern Blues

Since the early Middle Ages, Slavic countries had been the natural European reservoir for slave shopping. In those days, one just needed to raid a village in Hungary or Ukraine in order to pick up the goods.

The word Slav tells this story.
Some relate it to slave, an origin which reflects the sad past of these people. Others relate it to slovo, a Russian root meaning speech.
Slavs are those who share the same speech.

These countries have ceased to act as slave reservoirs. But they have known slavery longer than anyone else in Europe. It lasted four centuries. From the Tsars who had enslaved their bodies to Communism who had enslaved their speech.
When Communist Russia was at the height of its power, the West was called the free world. The East were the Slavic and enslaved world. Although their bodies had been liberated, they could not speak freely their ideas. This ambiguous freedom is reflected in the double origin of Slav : a mixture of slave and slovo (word).

In 1990, with the collapse of Slav communist regimes, another Exodus took place, ending four hundred years of slavery.
To the sounds of music, old and new.

Rock, obviously, was a major force of protest under the communist regimes. But a long time before, during their period of darkness, the Slavs had also developed their own blues.
Like the blues, Slavic music is melancholic in character, comforting those who sang and those who listened. A fact underlined by the resemblance between music and muzhik, i.e., the name of peasant slaves in Tsarist Russia.

We have seen three major cultures enslaved for four centuries : Jews, Blacks and Slavs . Their Exodus was each time a stronger blue for a mankind living in pitch black.
Music accompanied their Exodus.
The drums of Myriam, the sister of Moses.
The drums of the blacks of Africa.
The fiddles of Eastern Europe.

A fourth people knew four centuries of slavery.
The young Europeans and Americans that made Rock’s success.

Carpenter blues

Blacks are otherwise known as Negroes, i.e., the Latin root for black.
In the slang of slave traders, they had come to be called « coke », i.e., burnt coal. Across the Ocean, they had been transported as heaps of coal.

This human coal dominates music nowadays. We, humans, are sensitive to that music for the simple reason that singing, anyway, produces coal.

Human lungs contain a tree, called the bronchial tree. We have seen how it looks and functions like plant trees.

This human tree is made of bronchiae, an exact sound cousin of branches. We breathe and fill these branches with air, for the sake of the oxygen it contains.
Oxygen is liberated by plants, trees in particular.
It blows off green trees to reach our lungs. Oxygen is wood turned into air. A wood that fills the bronchiae of our respiratory tree.

When we speak or sing, this wooden air passes between the vocal cords. There, it is cut into pieces of different sizes, called sounds or words.
The vocal cords function like two knives that cut the air that passes between them. They sculpt bronchial air into beautiful wood pieces, all the more beautiful if they come from the voice of a singer.

Our throat is a carpenter’s workshop.
A field expressed in many languages.
German, for instance, uses the same sound, SaGe, for sawing wood and speaking. To speak is to saw pieces of wood with the vocal cords.
In English, human voices are said to have a timbre. You might as well say timber, i.e., cut wood.
In Hebrew, NGR means carpenter, whereas GRN means throat . In Hebrew again, the root ZMR means both to sing and to prune branches from a tree.
Singing is just that : pruning branches from the air of the bronchial tree.
Burning brain

Pieces of cut wood leave the mouth of the speaker, headed for those who listen. They penetrate their ears, and there, stoke the fires of our brain.

The brain is a furnace : it accounts for a fiftieth of our total body weight but consumes a fourth of its energy. The brain burns.
In that furnace, and with the help of the hammer and the anvil bones of our ears, we forge our own ideas.
Our brain forges everything in fact : the images we see, the music we hear, the velvet we touch. Or is the image we have of reality a forgery of our brain ?

Humans fell trees to make paper. They also cut wood when they speak. Hebrew « ‘ets » means both wood and giving advice. To give a piece of advice, is to give wood for thought .
Irrelevant words and conversations are bubbles that blow off our ears. Interesting ideas are pure wood. They are eagerly burnt. Good music is also good wood and is entirely turned into coal by our brains .

NeGRo singing is black music, it was burnt down to coal by whoever sang and listened to it.

Blues emerged from its Southern anonymity at the beginning of the last century. Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters, a true cotton-picker, took it North. There, it married the experience of poor white migrants with the protesting words of Woody Guthrie.
It then absorbed the biblical experience of Bob Dylan, the distinction of the Beatles and the cultivated primitivity of the Rolling Stones.

Dylan and the others

Bob Dylan stands where all the roads of blues meet.
He sings black music.
He is Jewish.
His parents were migrants from Slavic countries.
He was young and came from the working class.

Six enslaved people in his background helped him wrote protest songs .

His original name is Robert Zimmerman.
Zimmerman means carpenter, so that his real name is Robert, the Carpenter . Which is really what all singers are.

One singer influenced Dylan more than any other.
Woody Guthrie had himself taken up the battle of new slaves America had created, the exploited migrants and workers.

Guthrie is an old English root which means « throat ». The teacher of Bob Dylan, i.e., Robert the Carpenter, was called Woody Throat.

With Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie, our vocal cords found a way to inform us on how they work. With discs and radio, the wood cut from the lungs of singers could spread everywhere.

The greatest bonfire

By the late sixties, Rock concerts had become a major way of protesting against a society which was not fun.
The myth of Woodstock took place in 1969, near Bethel, New York. It was named Woodstock as a tribute to Bob Dylan, the Carpenter .
He lived then in a similarly named nearby village.

Woodstock marks the end of another four centuries of slavery.
For four centuries, since the arrival of the first Puritans on the coast of America, emotions had been enslaved. They exploded in Woodstock.
Woodstock means a pile of wood.
Taking over from Bob the Carpenter, this festival was a change of paradigm.
At the time of Woodstock , a whole generation of Americans made their Exodus from the slavery of their Puritan culture, a society of war, prejudice and hierarchy.

Before Berlin, Woodstock had been a breach in the Wall.
Teacher’s power, conjugal helplessness, parental abuse and the military’s right over life and death began their progressive collapse.

For three days, hundreds of thousands of youth burnt together the wood of the best Rock music ever. Logs and timber from the blues of black slaves and from those prophets of Israel who first cried against slavery .

Woodstock was a true dawn from a social nightmare. Blue appearing from black. It opened with a black singer and closed with a black singer, with the name of the first, R. Haven, reminding all that heaven was filling with a new dawn.
A dawn that generation chose to adopt as a uniform : the blue-jeans. Of LeVi’S fame .

The Beatlemania

As an individual, Dylan towers with achievements.
One band towers over all others : the Beatles.
They began by making good Rock. They ended up with protest singing.
They were pioneers in world music. Their freely mixed country, folk, rock, blues and classical music.

They chose a strange name, a meaningless word according to dictionaries, but not according to meaning fields.
Having made millions out of Blues, they surely recognized their debt towards those who invented it, when they included the letters BLueS in those of BeaTLeS. And by adding a T to BLueS, they knew they were in for BaTtLeS.

The Beatles mark another dawn for another enslaved people.
For a whole collectivity, they are another piece of blue appearing after a nightmare.

With other significant bands, they came from the Northern city of Liverpool.

England was the first industrialized country in the Western world.
Its aggressive colonial and economic policies had produced immense wealth for the very few. At the same time, it created a whole new class of slaves. English peasants left en masse the countryside to become industrial workers. Industrial slaves would be more correct.

In Manchester and Liverpool, white people were enslaved in coal mines or in steel mills.
As humans, they may have been whites, but as slaves, they were blacks, black from the coal and the coke.
The color blue was there too. These slaves were called blue-collar workers and had to wear a blouse.

This slavery had begun four centuries before, under the reign of Elizabeth I, when England established itself as the first capitalist country .

The sons of these miners and steel workers grew in Liverpool, the blackest and saddest city on earth. The skies were blackened by smoke, and were, at best, dark gray from low, heavy clouds.
Except for the music they played, they rarely saw any blue.

The world success of Liverpool bands marks another Exodus.
This music gave a touch of freedom and fame, directly or by delegation. But more than anything, for the boys and girls of Liverpool, that music shocked the masters in London. The battle of the beatles.

And in the end, the stiff danced and freed themselves a bit, too.

Liverpool again

Blues is considered a melancholic music. It was born in a time of slavery, when people felt blue.
The word melancholy is rich. Melan comes from the Greek for black and choly from the Greek for bile. The Ancients believed that sadness corresponded to the accumulation of black bile.

Liverpool is the Memphis, Tennessee of Europe. It was the address of European blues. Depressingly black, Liverpool had to feel blue and invent a blues.
Liverpool can be read liver pool. And the pool that characterizes the liver is that made by bile. In Liverpool, with its black people and streets, this bile was black, i.e., melan-cholic.

Rock and Stone

Bob Dylan and the Beatles had produced a sophisticated version of the blues of the Negroes.
The Rolling Stones represent the other pole : a return to the roots of primitive music. A music danced on stage, with suggestive sexual motions never seen with Dylan and the Beatles , but constant with the Rolling Stones.
Primitivity was cultured and amplified. Rhythms were simpler. A lot of bass, of heart sounds.
The Stones are whites singing back to Africa, back to the music of the hunters. They went back to the African Stone Age, when tools were crudely carved out of stones.
Their Rock claimed kinship with the music of that time. Rock means stone. And the greatest of all Rock bands, the Stones, led this return to Stone age music.
The Stone Age is echoed in the Age of the Stones.
Their key singer, Mick Jagger, embodies this return. The way he danced, the large, negroid lips he sported, and his name belong to Stone Age times.
Mick Jagger means «Mick, the Hunter ».
And everybody got stoned in those days, and rolled like a stone.

Where to ?

Universal Music appears everywhere in the world.
Everywhere, this music is colored in black African tones.

The astounding success of black music is not meaningless.
It continues a process begun millions of years ago, when Man was first comforted from hard labor by the use of art.
It has accompanied every Exodus since then.

After the magic of the sixties and the seventies, music is now confronted to a major crisis of identity. The latest descendants of the blues: disco, rap, techno, house, trance have become ever less melodious.

It is difficult to appreciate how much further this process of simplification can go.

The world is giving birth to a new human.
African drumming, i.e., heart beat, accompany this pregnancy and delivery .

Although the genuine origin of the word that means “she possesses many things” is Ugandan, Nyahbingi musical accompaniment consists of a heartbeat rhythm, played in 4/4 time on a trinity of drums.

Nyahbingi Drumming & Rhythms has come down to the Rastaman as a concept and theology. Therefore, it is through prayer, music and biblical reasonings that the Rastaman chants bingi, calling on the forces of nature to destroy the powers of wickedness.

Nyahbingi Drumming & Rhythms can be considered the true origin of reggae music.Reggae music is unique among descendant of blues. It has never been a Mainstream music or a fashion music but it seems the most universal as it’s devellopement is continuing on all continents.

A Time 4 Hemp yahoo group has been deleated...

...by Yahoo! it seems...I loged on a day or so ago and it had been deleated. I contacted Yahoo's office and was informed that - yes, Yahoo closed the group - and if they ever answer my e-mail...maybe someday, I will find out why? Was it censorship???? I have started a new Yahoo Group - have posted some video clips, photos and after I post this message to a few group sites, will start to add messages to my message board.

I had important news item dating all the way back to the year I founded the ATime4Hemp Yahoo groop...the year 2000. Neary 1,200 messages had been archived on the site for people to wade through should they need to find information on Hemp Studies - or locate links....whatever.

I'm mad. Mad enough to start a new group and ask that the Hemp Movement join it and help to make it bigger and better than the one that was deleated.

Please go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Time4Hemp
and become a member - and post some informative messages and then share the site with your friends....

My friend has bailed on me to see a Damian Marley show in London on Sat. March4th. I'd rather not scalp my second ticket or resell it. I'd love to have a companion to see the show with...so anyone who's down for seeing Damian in London on the 4th...drop me a line...I'd love for a concert going friend for the evening...I'm from the USA, so it'd be cool to find someone from London who wants to grab a bite and a pint before the show or something...whatever...anyone anyone knows....it's all about sharing the love for the music. peace--adam

Africa Radio Show

Greetings in the names of the Most High!
Praises to Jah Rastafari Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah!

My name is Rick a.k.a. DJ Rom and I do a radio show on African Music.
My show generally deals with purely African music and some African influenced music.
The Goal of my show is to bring all people (including Africans) the awareness and respect of such a beautiful people and Culture. In a time where Africa is in turmoil because all the nations have stolen and raped this land, the people are searching for a Life full of Justice Equal Rights and Unity! What Africa needs to do is a topic that requires many minds to come togeather to uplift the African people to take pride and treat each other with respect. WE MUST BRING EQUAL RIGHTS INTO THE MINDS OF ALL PEOPLE. We are fighting over such foolish things, and what is even sadder is that most of the time it is about religeon, (one person thinks he/she is better than the other), But what do we know about God and the Afterlife when we do not even know this life? Religeon should unify, And What is Unity? To unify under a wrong cause will not bring about the unity of all souls with the most High, and this is Unity.
So what I am asking for is to be able to discuss these questions on the Radio and exposing people to this beautiful culture through its music.

The Show airs Wed. from 9-10PM USA Eastern Standard Time (at 8PM I play Gypsy Music) on 123radio.com and 105.5FM in Miami
ONE LOVE ONE LIFE ONE UNITY OF BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

note that by replying to this that any comments may be quoted on the radio.

What do you think is important in the world today?

'Time 4 Hemp' is the name of the television series I created in the early 1990's. You can locate the web site at:
http://www.Time4Hemp.com

There you will find the list of guests who appeared on the series when it was first produced includes: Willie Nelson, Tim Leary, Kevin Zeese, and all the founders of the American Hemp Movement.

I am one of 17 people who, in 1991, wrote the California Hemp Initiative (CHI) allowing people who need the use of hemp (slang termed: marijuana) for medical reasons to grow 6 plants or less in their own homes with out fear of prosecution.

The 17 of us who wrote this initiative then recruited an army of volunteers to gather enough signatures to get the CHI onto the voting ballot in 1992. California voters overwhelmingly supported CHI and it became state law shortly there after. I created 'Time 4 Hemp' as a way to bring attention to the CHI.

A copy of the CHI can be reviewed on the web site as can free short video downloads from each interview. You can also freely download the complete audio of each interview should you like. You can also download 4 video clips from my involvement in the Smoked Marijuana Study at UCLA funded by the US government if you have time for a quick chuckle. I am the only person in the world ever to be filmed in a study of that nature.

The 'Time 4 Hemp' weekly WebCast will broadcast LIVE, at High Noon once a week through the internet. Each program will then be edited and archived so anyone wanting to listen to it - at anytime - can do so.

We intend to rock the world (as always) with the message of:
"Hemp for Paper, Fiber, Fuel and Medication".

With that said, I'd like to invite you to listen in and be an ACTIVE AUDIENCE. The whole idea of broadcasting live is to give people around the world the chance to ask questions of each guest. Either through telephone (we'll have an 800 number) or IM.

I'll be posting up-dates about the series through my Time_4_Hemp tribe site.

If you'd like to be notified by e-mail of the first live broadcast, let me know.

You can send me a message through my Time4Hemp.com web sit at: Casper@Time4Hemp.com with the subject line:
I Want 2 Take Time 4 Hemp - NOW!

Please tell your friends about this series. Copy and paste this message anywhere you feel someone might benefit from something one of our remarkable guests has to say.

yeah i was just wondering if anyone knows of any magazines dedicated to reggae music. where one can get music reviews, book reviews, discusions on livity, and history. i mean almost every genre of music has a magazine dedicated to it. Hop hop has The Source and XXL. Punk rock has American Music Press and Punker Mag. R&B has Vibe. So does anyone know of a magaizine other then The Beat. the beat is alright but they dont really cover reggae in depth. they have like 4or 5 pages dedicated to it and its just alright.

Posted a new track on my website called, PropaGanga Resistance. Inspired and sampled from the documentary, Life & Debt. An important film that deals with the politics and economic sanctions that keep a country like Jamaica under the thumb of the rich countries. I highly recommend the flick and if you wanna check out the beats thats cool as well.

Reggae @ Berbati's

I was @ Berbati's last night, and was pleasantly suprised the find some local reggae boys sharing some good vibes! I think they were The Everyday Prophets, but when I looked for their website, it seems to be non-existent. I was @ the JBB show with Easy Star All Stars @ Berbati's last month, and the sound was mixed poorly (and Kevin was strangley absent from the JBB lineup), but they seemed to have it well dialed in last night.
Does anybody know about this band, or when I can find when they are playing next?

MIDNITE @ Mazzottis (Arcata) Friday September 9th

ARCATA– Midnite will perform at Mazzottis on Friday, September 9th.
Residents of St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Midnite has emerged as a new force in the roots reggae scene since their founding in 1989 by brothers Vaughn (lead vocals, songwriter) and Ron Benjamin (keyboards, musical director). Rounding out the rhythm section of the band are Christian Molinna -Curet (drums), Ryan Wilson (bass) and Jerry Simon (guitar).
Armed with a strong and uncompromising musical vision, Midnite delivers an old-school roots sound matched with powerful lyrics that address various issues such as racial oppression, misrepresented social history and fundamental Rastafarian teachings. At a time when older reggae artists are rehashing the same stale material they have been touring with for twenty years, Midnite is rewriting the rules for live reggae by never playing the same set, and releasing a constant flood of new material.
Midnite developed their sound playing small clubs in Washington D.C., where they recorded their debut album “Unpolished” and the follow-up “Ras Mek Peace.” Reggae journalist Adjua Dubb reported that these early Midnite shows “mirrored going to
-MORE-
church...they left a deep impact on the reggae scene here.” The band later returned to St. Croix to make refinements for their third album “Jubilees of Zion” before embarking on their first full tours of the U.S.
During the past three years, Midnite has been hard at work in their St. Croix Afrikan Roots Lab, releasing ten more full-length albums through independent record label Rastafaria. The concert at Mazzottis in May will be Midnite’s sixth appearance in Humboldt, following a memorable performance at Reggae on the River in 2004.
Midnite will be joined by DJ Swami I of the Green-Up Sound System from Santa Cruz. Swami I describes Midnite’s music as “reggae stripped down to the bare roots.” The Green-Up Sound will be spinning reggae records to warm up the crowd when the doors open at 10:00 p.m.
Tickets to the event are $23 in advance and $25 at the door on the night of the event. Presale Tickets are available at The Metro (Arcata) The Works (Arcata or Eureka), Wildhorse Records (Garberville) or online at Ticketsweb.com. Patrons 21 and over with ID are welcome to attend this event.
Mazzottis is located at 773 8th Street, on the Plaza in Arcata. Any Additional information can be requested by calling the Trinity Hotline at (831) 359-1839, or e-mailing trinitymlk@hotmail.com.

At a time when older reggae artists are rehashing the same stale material they have been touring with for twenty years, Midnite is rewriting the rules for live reggae by never playing the same set, and releasing a constant flood of new material.
Midnite developed their sound playing small clubs in Washington D.C., where they recorded their debut album “Unpolished” and the follow-up “Ras Mek Peace.” Reggae journalist Adjua Dubb reported that these early Midnite shows “mirrored going to
church...they left a deep impact on the reggae scene here.” The band later returned to St. Croix to make refinements for their third album “Jubilees of Zion” before embarking on their first full tours of the U.S.
During the past three years, Midnite has been hard at work in their St. Croix Afrikan Roots Lab, releasing ten more full-length albums through independent record label Rastafaria. The concert at The Independent in Septmeber will be Midnite’s sixth appearance in San Francisco, following a memorable performance at Reggae in the Park in 2004.
Tickets to the event are $25 in advance and $25 at the door on the night of the event. Presale Tickets are available online at Ticketweb.com and at The Indpendent’s Box Office. Patrons 21 and over with ID are welcome to attend this event.
The Independent is located at 628 Divisidero Street, in San Francisco. Any Additional information can be requested by calling the Trinity Hotline at (831) 359-1839, or e-mailing trinitymlk@hotmail.com.

RASTAFARI EXPRESSION
INTERVIEW QUESTIONS TO RASTAFARI BRETHEREN AND SISTREN

1.	How did the I come to trod Rastafari/How long has the I been trodding the path?

2.	Where did the I grow up, what was the I experiences before your present path?

3.	What is your opinion of the Internet, in terms of the Rastafari experience?

4.	How does the I find the governing factors of Rastafari presently?

5.	Does the I have any suggestions to the Rastafari community in achieving Inity?

6.	How does Inity of Rastafari benefit ones in the Livity of Rastafari, both individually and on the global scale? Is Inity globally achievable and why is it necessary in your view (or opposite of this, if not necessary, why?)

7.	What has been the biggest trial or tribulation that the I has encountered since becoming Rastafari? INI Realeyes that in this Iwa, ‘locks’ an a green diet is accepted albeit for different reasons INI are walking this way, so is there a next trial that I has had to endure because of your livity, or your faith?

8.	INI know that it has been said that the Babylon system is a vampire? Can you interpret this for INI?

9.	What is the challenge today walking in Babylon, but not being ‘of’ Babylon?

10.	Is the I married? If married, does the I have Children being raised in the Rastafari Traditions?

11.	How does the I view marriage in the sense of Rastafari tradition, INI know some Bredrin and Sistren in the Livity do not marry in the conventional sense of marriage, often times opting to live together rather than obtain a license. What is your view on this? If the I is of this view, how does the I justify this action with the 10 commandment law thou shalt not commit fornication?

12.	Education was always stressed by King Selassie I, how does the I see Education in these times, how important, and what should INI be doing to educate our youth, to supplement the Babylonian Education which the system provides?

13.	What is the idea behind ‘not every dread is a Rasta, and not every Rasta dread’?

14.	What is your opinion about the different ‘houses’ or ‘mansions’ within Rastafari?

THESE ARE ONLY SOME OF THE QUESTIONS, SO IF DI I'S ARE INTERESTED PLEASE LET I KNOW...JAH LOVE AN ITECTION

This week I am very excited to announce that the new album “BASS JIHAD” has entered the top 10 in the world music CMJ radio charts beating out some of my heroes like the Congos, Dub Syndicate and the legendary Celia Cruz (I’m not worthy!!!)
http://www.cmj.com/industry/chart_preview.php?id=6
Also, keep an eye out for record reviews and features coming out in Billboard, XLR8R, Paste, NY Press and LA Weekly.
Unfortunately, Brooklyn Massive Warehouse party has been postponed, but all steam ahead for the record release party @ Joe’s Pub here in New York on June 1st.
This promises to be one of the best Dub shows of the year featuring Dr. Israel who is the latest member to join the legendary Praxis with Bill Laswell, DJ Krush, Buckethead & Brain as well as will have a new album coming out soon on Roir Records.
Desmond Williams who has worked with the likes of Dub legend Scientist, Thievery Corporation and his own amazing records.
Digital Tubby, Nephew of the legendary King Tubby and an amazing producer in his own rite bring the Dub Royalty to the next generation.
And Dub Poet Infinity whose work with Francois K in the past 2 years has put him up next to legends like U-Roy and Mutaburuka.
It will be a night not to miss, when we bring a full sonic sound of low-end theories when these Dub Shamans hit the stage at Joe’s Pub.
The new record is now available at www.amazon.com
WHAT THE REVIEWS ARE SAYING!!!!!!!

SMOTHER.NET
Blending urban sounds of dub with ethnic complex rhythms, Dub Gabriel’s “Bass Jihad” is a relentless assault on your body—you will have to dance the entire length of the album. Personally I love dub, though for a lot of folks it’s an acquired taste that most unfortunately aren’t willing to develop. But if you’re ever interested in hearing some of the best dub out there you must pick up this essential album. The songs swirl about in this cerebral musical landscape that boasts tremendous space while not feeling like it’s missing something. Production-wise the album is jaw-dropping with its low-end frequencies perfectly tweaked for even the worst speakers out there. I can’t complement this album enough; you have to hear it for yourself!
http://www.smother.net/reviews/techno.php3?ID=316

PASTE MAGAZINE
4 stars
Educated in the Laswellian school of bass-heavy
deconstruction,Brooklyn-based producer/DJ/four-stringer Dub Gabriel returns with another exploration of Arabic-leaning landscapes tuned to the sound of his namesake.
A confluence of warlike rhythms (hence the album
title) are ingeniously layered by an analog flurry of percussion, mizmar(reed pipe) and ney(Turkish flute). The 11-track record plays like a Kubrickian soundtrack
for future societies where all the world’s instruments are thrown into one circle and the orgy is conducted by none other than the archangel Gabriel himself.

DOWNTOWN MUSIC GALLERY
This is my man Dub Gabriel's second solo effort and again he's got it down. Our hero has worked with Bill Laswell, Qaballah Steppers, Baraka Orchestra and Samara Sound System. His first solo disc, 'Ascend' from last year was one of the few great dub efforts I've heard in recent memory. He is back again with a little help from Mark Deutsch on bazantar (an acoustic bass-like invention), Subluna on didgeridoo, Fred Stubbs on ney, Ahad Nazarzadeh on saz and a couple of MC's Young Sand and Khalil. Dub Gabriel is a strong producer, always doing an enchanting job of layering a swirling array of exotic percussion, cosmic snaking-charming double reeds, thick bass and mesmerizing echoed guitars and keyboards. This swell, sly music is mostly instrumental, the groove and ambiance always intoxicating. The occasional vocal bits are often sampled and used like another tasty ingredient in this mysterious and delectable stew. Yo Dub-mon, this sh*t is pretty ripe, supremely righteous and completely groovy! Word! – BLG

so perhaps i am merely adjusting painfully to babylon on mynew pseudo-urban lifestylee- but lately i have been scanning radiowaves, hearing dancehall mixed with pop-hop and the whackest lyrics- also catching the red gold and green sported as fashion from cats I m sure don't check its roots- I am in no way seeking elitism, I just want to be keep it real... it is baby steps that may help those who are attracted to look deeper into our collective His/Her-story, find the balance and seek desperatey needed Unification with Jah, but still brings tribulation that so manyscim the surface when there is so much more than the colors riddim and dreads...

Ethiopia short films

Dear Friends,

Cafesociety.org is a UK based arts organisation which works closely
with many schools to develop creative arts projects with young people.

We work regularly with young people in the Yorkshire region of the UK
and communities as far away as the Seychelles, Ethiopia and the
Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona.

Our projects focus on digital storytelling, film making and digital photography.

We aim to teach young people how to make short films and document their lives
by creating short stories about subjects and interests that they choose.

We have just returned from Ethiopia and would like to invite you to view
a selection of the short films made by the young students of the Jamaican
Rastafari Development Community School in Shashemene – Ethiopia.

http://www.cafesociety.org/imagegallery/categories.php?cat_id=82

[Click the folder marked ‘movies’ to access the short films. ]

Our intention is to link schools in Ethiopia with schools here in the UK
by way of collaborative projects and exchanges.

We plan a return to Shashemene in July to continue our work with

the young students and to set up links with schools in the UK.

We aim to raise enough funds to enable the purchase of 2 laptop computers
and 2 digital video cameras which we will train the students and staff to use

and leave at the school to enable a sustainable element to the project.

We want the school to have the skills and technology to make short films

after we leave and communicate their stories to their new partner schools.

Please let us know your opinions and comments regarding the short films.

I’m sure the kids would love to know what you think…

If you have any further comments or suggestions please email us.

Looking forward to hearing your comments,

My hair grow's natural dreads....so to say, because my hair was made for this. And I love humanity. But why should I label myself? (But I am a little bit proud when people call me rusta!)

Questions regarding dreads for Rastas

my bwai is two years old. Half Jamaican. His hair is beautiful and definately part of his natural vibe. (I cut it really short this last summer and he just wasn't quite himself) my question...I think that dreads might be for him, but I am wondering if this is more of a spiritual path that he needs to choose for himself as he is older?
I asked this in another tribe, however since this tribe is Rasta, I thought the brederin here might be able to give me some insight.

thanks for your insight in advance
one love
Dawn

ps I should note, he is keeping his hair either way (if I learn that dreads are something he should pick it will be a 'fro or cornrows) ;)

Marley to be reburried

Wife of reggae star Bob Marley plans to exhume his remains in Jamaica and rebury them in Ethiopia

ANTHONY MITCHELL, Associated Press Writer

Wednesday, January 12, 2005

(01-12) 08:39 PST ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) --

The wife of reggae legend Bob Marley said Wednesday she plans to exhume his remains in Jamaica and rebury them in his "spiritual resting place" -- Ethiopia.

No date has been set for the reburial, but it will be after February when monthlong celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Marley's birth are planned in Ethiopia. Both the Ethiopian church and government officials support the project, Rita Marley told The Associated Press.

"We are working on bringing his remains to Ethiopia," said Rita Marley, a former backup singer for her husband's band, The Wailers. "It is part of Bob's own mission."

Born in 1945 in rural St. Ann parish in Jamaica, Bob Marley rose from the gritty shantytowns of Kingston to global stardom with hits such as "No Woman, No Cry" and "I Shot the Sheriff." His lyrics promoting "one love" and social revolution made him an icon in developing countries worldwide. Bob Marley died of cancer in Miami in 1981 at age 36.

Rita Marley said her husband would be reburied in Shashemene, 155 miles south of Addis Ababa where several hundred Rastafarians have lived since they were given land by Ethiopia's last emperor, Haile Selassie.

Hundreds of thousands of Jamaicans embraced Haile as their living god and head of the Rastafarian religious movement.

Bob Marley was a devout Rastafarian, a faith whose followers preach a oneness with nature, grow their hair uncombed into dreadlocks and smoke marijuana as a sacrament. About 700,000 people practice it worldwide.

"Bob's whole life is about Africa. It is not about Jamaica," said Rita Marley, a Cuban-born singer who married the reggae star in 1966.

"How can you give up a continent for an island? He has a right for his remains to be where he would love them to be. This was his mission.

"Ethiopia is his spiritual resting place. With the 60th anniversary this year, the impact is there and the time is right."

Together with the African Union and the U.N. children's agency, Rita Marley has organized celebrations in Ethiopia, including a concert on Bob Marley's birthday, Feb. 6, to be held in Addis Ababa.

The monthlong celebration, dubbed "Africa Unite" after one of Bob Marley's songs, aims to raise funds to help poor families in Ethiopia.

African and reggae artists -- including the Marley Family, Senegal's Baaba Maal and Youssou N'Dour, and Benin's Angelique Kidjo -- will perform as part of the $1 million program. The event is expected to be broadcast in Africa and beyond.

I have been enjoying Preizident Brown's latest release featuring his performance at Shasta Renegade festival a few years back. His words are clearly heard and he sends a positive message to the youth. Groundation is also high on my list, they have amazed me with the beauty of their new album Hebron Gate, I cant stop listening to track 9 where the elders are called upon for answers and they answer that Jah will guide us all...
I am, as always perplexed and searching for some positive Dancehall because it's my favorite style but sometimes I get frustrated with the level of conciousness, or the lack there of!Any suggestions??
Peace bredren and sistren and peace to the youths!!

did anyone have a chance to read the article on The Source Magazine about roots reggae. to me it seemed like they could have done a whole lot better. it seems like they rushed to put something together instead of taking there time and putting something out there with some depth and meaning. they did have some alright pics and some must have classics.
